Allen Ellison to Speak At The LGBTQ Democratic Forum

Format: Candidates were seated in alphabetical order in front of the audience. Each candidate had microphones. Candidates were not allowed notes or props. Steve Bousquet was the moderator for the forum.

The LGBTQ Caucus of Florida President, Stephen Gaskill welcomed attendees.

Candidates had 60 seconds to make opening remarks.

Bousquet questioned the first candidate, who had 60 seconds to answer; the other candidates had 30 seconds for follow up. Then the second question went to the candidate next in line, and the same format followed throughout the evening.

If a candidate mentioned an opponent by name, that candidate had 60 seconds to respond.

The moderator reserved the right to suspend forum rules and ask follow up questions at his discretion.

There was a timekeeper in the front row who notified the candidates when time was up.

Candidates were given have 60 seconds to make closing remarks.
